All hunts at Cinco Canyon Ranch are fully guided by a person who is not only well versed in scoring and aging elk/deer on the hoof, but also has expertise in locating and tracking animals on the ranch. Upon harvesting an elk/deer your guide will: 1) assist you in recovering the animal; 2) field dress and score it; 3) photograph your trophy; 4) insure the animal is placed in our walk-in cooler; 5) help you in selecting a meat processor and/or taxidermist and 6) coordinate transportation of the animal to the processor/taxidermist of your choice.
As you can see from this website, we are avid photographers with an appreciation for the beauty of the land and the majestic nature of the elk/deer that inhabit it. We encourage our guests to bring a camera suited for wildlife photography. If you don’t have one or forget to pack it, you can use one of ours. The photographic opportunities at the ranch are simply amazing. You and your guide will have the use of a 35mm digital camera, equipped with a 100-400mm telescoping zoom lens to capture not only your hunt but also to use during “down time” while embarking upon a photographic safari of the ranch.
Guide Fees, Taxidermy and Meat Processing Cost
Call for pricing and fees. Please note a guide fee is charged in addition to the elk/deer trophy fee. Typically hunts are scheduled Friday through Sunday.
Please also note that guests are responsible for the cost of meat processing, taxidermy, and any shipping cost. Cinco Canyon Ranch will be happy to transport your animal to a local processor/taxidermist at no cost. However, all other processing cost are the responsibility of the hunter.
